2018 – Our year so far
Gosh – it’s almost the end of June already! where have those last six months gone? Time flies by way too fast – especially when you’re as busy as we’ve been during the first half of 2018. Here’s a short overview of our year so far
January : We hit the ground running at the start of 2018 with a month full of tastings and client consultations in preparation of our busy Spring and Summer season of weddings. With over 200 bookings in the diary for 2018, that’s a lot of tastings!
February :We had the pleasure of catering at Holywell Hall, near Stamford. A private party organised by Katrina Otter for 80 guests in a stunning marquee setting provided by Fews Marquees. Described by many as ‘the perfect English Estate’, Holywell Hall is a Grade II listed 17th-century country house set within rolling Lincolnshire countryside. It was a fabulous evening and a huge pleasure to work with an amazing team of suppliers.
March : The Beast from the East hits the country but it didn’t stop the CCC team from catering for 200 delegates at the Wellcome Trust seminar at Tattersalls and heading down to London to cater for a canapé party at Tower 42 and a private dinner in Chelsea Square. Fortunately the weather improved dramatically for our first wedding of the year at Chippenham Park at the end of the month.
April : Early Spring, the daffodils are peaking through and the wedding season really begins with several weddings at Chippenham Park and Granary Barns plus our second Sale of the year at Tattersalls. The highlight of the month was the amazing Guineas Ball, working with The Highfield Event Group and 3D Events to deliver a fantastic event for 375 guests which raised an incredible sum of money for several local charities.
May: An incredible month for the CCC Team and one of our busiest of the year so far with over 20 events to cater for, plus the Guineas Sale at Tattersalls. We had several marquee weddings in Essex, Cambridgeshire and Suffolk plus our first visits to cater at the Tudor Barn and Godwick Hall.
June: A month full of wedding catering plus visits to Royal Ascot for picnic catering and a very special dinner for the Board of the National Trust in the beautiful grounds of Anglesey Abbey. The last weekend of the month will see us catering at Ely Cathedral for a charity ball hosted by the Mayor of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough in aid of PTSD999, the only UK charity that supports members of the emergency services and their families who have suffered with PTSD.
