Catering at Ely Cathedral
We recently had the pleasure of catering at this amazing venue
The event was an anniversary dinner, with a twist, for a Cambridge based software company.
As guests arrived at Ely Cathedral, they were treated to a Champagne reception with canapés in the South Transept before making their way to a scrumptious dinner in the Lady Chapel, created by our head chef Paul.
Guests were served a delightful Amuse Bouche before the starter, followed by the main course and then there was a break in the meal for a little fun entertainment.
Whist the guests were enjoying the first part of the meal, the CCC Event team transformed the drinks area in the Cathedral into a ‘pop-up’ Bingo Hall. Food and refreshments were created around the Bingo theme: Coffee and tea…. with a twist: Espresso Martini’s and cups of Earl Grey Sorbet with a fruit de pate ‘sugar cube’; ‘Chicken in a basket’ – confit leg chicken bon bons and skinny fries with truffle and parmesan. Barry the Bingo Man announced ‘Eye’s Down’ and the party all enjoyed a fun game of Bingo.
After the intermission, guests were invited back to the Lady Chapel for dessert, cheese and a well-stock after dinner bar offering a selection of speciality gins, blended malt whisky, cognacs and port.
